You can delete your Earno account and everything attached to it whenever you want. There are two ways: do it yourself inside the app, which is instant, or ask us and we will do it for you.
Open Earno, then Profile → Privacy and data → Delete my account and all data. You will be asked to confirm, and then it is done. Nothing is queued and nothing waits for us.
If you no longer have the app installed, or you would simply rather we did it, email privacy@earno-app.com from the address your account uses and say you want it deleted. We do not ask you to explain why.
We reply and complete the deletion within 30 days, and in practice within a few days. If you write from a different address we may ask one question to confirm the account is yours, purely so that nobody can delete somebody else's data.
Everything that identifies you or belongs to you: your account and sign-in, your name, email address, age and country, your profile picture, every challenge and its full history, every amount you saved, your squad memberships, your achievements, your notification tokens, and the backup copy held for restoring your account on a new phone.
Deletion removes this from your device and from our servers. It cannot be undone, and we cannot recover an account afterwards.
A small number of records survive, none of which identify you:
• Shared challenge totals. If you saved money in a challenge with friends, the team total stays with them. Your name, picture and individual figures are removed from it.
• Payment records. If you ever subscribed, the purchase record is held by Apple or Google, not by us, and tax law requires it to be kept. We keep only a reference, never your card details, which we never see.
• Anonymous counts. Aggregate numbers, such as how many people used the app in a month, that contain nothing traceable to a person.
Deleting your account does not cancel Earno Pro, because only the store that bills you can do that. Cancel it in your App Store subscription settings on iPhone, or in Google Play → Payments and subscriptions on Android. Do that first if you want the billing to stop.
If you never added an email address, there is nothing on our servers to delete: everything lives on your phone alone. Deleting the app removes it all.
